For Immediate Release: High Water Danger

At this time the Springfield area is experiencing several flooded streets due to heavy rainfall. Drivers are advised to avoid driving through flooded streets or standing water. Water depths can be deceiving and there are several reports of stranded vehicles that have flooded out while trying to cross the high waters. No injuries have been reported at this time.

Several streets are barricaded. Drivers should avoid these areas.
