For Immediate Release: Homicide

The stabbing victim from 3035 N. Kentwood has been identified as Arthur E. Brashear, 60 years of age. Next of kin has been notified. An autopsy was performed this date and the Medical Examiner has designated the death as a homicide.

On Friday, August 16, 2008, Arthur Ernest Brashear was found dead in his apartment located at 3035 N. Kentwood Apartment A-110, Springfield, Missouri. Brashear was last seen alive on Monday, August 11, 2008. Brashear's silver 1991 Lincoln Town Car was missing from the parking lot; however, the vehicle was later recovered by police several miles from the crime scene. Detectives are asking anyone that has seen Brashear, Brashear's vehicle, or suspicious activity related to this crime to please call Crimestoppers at 869-TIPS (8477), Detective Randall Ragar at 864-1384, or Sgt.
