For Immediate Release: Springfield Police Officers meet firefighters on the court for charity

This Saturday, June 21, members of the Springfield Police Department will face off against Springfield firefighters in the 3rd Annual Guns VS Hoses Charity Basketball Game. Proceeds from the night will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks. 

The event takes place at the Evangel Gym (Ashcroft Center) located at 1111 N. Glenstone. Warm up starts at 6:30 p.m. with the game getting underway at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are five dollars per person at the door or in advance at Big Brothers Big Sisters, 3372 W. Battlefield, with children under five allowed in for free.  

Some highlights for the evening include a half-time dunk contest featuring local athletes and raffle prizes given away throughout the night. Concessions and t-shirts will be sold at the game. Go to www.bigbro.com for more information.
