Animal Control . . .
Disclaimer

Photos are updated Monday through Friday during normal business days. Photos may not reflect all animals that may be at the shelter at the time of your viewing. If you do not see an animal you believe may be at the shelter, do not delay in contacting the shelter at (417) 833-3592 during their operation hours as listed below.

Our primary goal is to reunite dogs with their owners, however dogs will only be held for five (5) days, including weekends and holidays.

If you have lost a dog, please contact the shelter as soon as possible.

Animals may be claimed at the Animal Shelter located at 4002 N. Farmer in Springfield during operation hours as follows: The Animal Shelter does not offer pet adoption services. To claim a dog, the owner must pay all fees at the time of pickup.

Please be prepared to provide the following: The City of Springfield provides this facility as a service to the citizens of Springfield, and to protect public health. The City assumes no liability or responsibility for an animal received in this facility, other than to provide humane care for the duration of custody.
