Air monitoring


The monitoring section of the Air Quality Control Division operates a network of ambient air monitoring stations throughout the city. These stations are monitoring EPA listed criteria pollutants. The results from the monitoring stations are provided to Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) for determining compliance with the EPA National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS). The Springfield area is currently in compliance with these standards.
