Count & Crash Data

The traffic engineering division conducts traffic counts to monitor traffic throughout the City. Various types of traffic counts are collected and analyzed, which include turning movement counts and traffic volume counts. Over 1,100 vehicular counts and over 40 turning movement counts are collected annually. Additionally, the division collects crash data for traffic studies.

The Public Works Department has released the July 2008 Crash Report Card for Crashes from January 1 through July 31. There have been 9 fatality crashes this year compared to 3 in the same timer period in 2007. The number of injury and total crashes has decreased by 5% and 4% respectively compared to the same time period last year.
