Art show and bus tours focus on students.
A tradition at the Springfield Art Museum is the annual All-School
Exhibition featuring more than 500 entries by students in Springfield
public, private and parochial schools.
As
part of the "Partners in Education" program, more than 2,500
Springfield area fifth graders tour the Museum annually as part
of the SMMA sponsored Fifth Grade Busing Program.
Volunteer
docents, who conduct Museum tours as part of our education programs,
are always appreciated. Applicants
receive one year of training and apprenticeship. Docents attend
the National Docent Symposium on a rotating basis. Volunteers
are the soul of the Springfield Art Museum, providing expertise
and sharing their knowledge in a variety of areas. Link to Docent
